This five day course delves into deployment and management of Windows 7 for support technicians and those in similar roles for large companies. Upon completion of this course, students should be prepared to deploy Windows 7 and resolve compatibility issues with the program.

The course will begin with preparing students to deploy Windows 7 and to carry out all the necessary operations involved in servicing the devices they are used on. The course will also discuss the different lifecycles associated with hardware and deployment. Students will also learn about the challenges associated with deployment and compatibility analysis. When issues relating to inventory and mitigation arise, students will be able to work with them. Different scenarios that may come up and methods of exploring them are covered by the class curriculum. Students should exit the class with a broad understanding of the tools used in conjunction with Windows 7 deployment. By the end of the course, students should have well-rounded knowledge of using Windows 7 with In-Place, Side-by-Side, Lite-Touch and Zero-Touch. The course will explore the system that underlines the imaging system of devices utilizing Windows 7 deployment. Students will also learn the different phases involved with the imaging process as well as how to use these processes to strategize. The course will also emphasize the use of Windows AIK 2.0, SIM and Sysprep.

Before taking this course, students should already have some knowledge of computers and Windows 7. Students should also show active interest in working, assessing and managing deployment on desktops and mobile devices. Students with solid backgrounds in working with Windows and those who understand significant aspects of networking will have the most success in this class, as it draws heavily on these concepts. Students should understand the use of scripts and batch files. They should also have in-depth awareness of security and keeping information safe. Before taking this course, students must understand changing settings and configurations to troubleshoot devices. Students should have an awareness of basic imaging tools and deployment.
